What Money Means in the Art-World

In the art world, people often think that the more money you make, the more talented you are as an artist.

But as someone who helps artists succeed financially, I want to set the record straight: making money doesn’t prove you’re talented. It proves you are talented at marketing.

True success comes from the joy your art brings – to yourself and others.

The secret  is to see marketing as a way to share the beauty of your art, not as showing off.

Selling your art doesn’t mean you’re selling out. When you change how you see marketing – not as bragging or self-promotion – but as a chance to share the joy and insights that  your art brings – everything feels different. It’s not about selling yourself; it’s about passing on the beauty you’ve created.

In a nutshell, art sales reflect your marketing skills. Start thinking of marketing as a tool to share the joy. Shift your energetic focus from just making sales to making a positive impact.

Your art can be a source of happiness, attracting people who connect with the good vibes and beauty it brings. Always remember, the real success is in the joy your art spreads and the connections it makes.

To  help you get started, here is a 5 step plan for marketing your art.
