There’s an artist in my bedroom
Last night, an artist showed up in my bedroom.
They woke me up to ask a question I’ve been hearing a lot lately:
“Did I miss it?”
It’s a familiar moment. The feeling that something is beginning, and the fear that you might already be too late.
So let me answer clearly.
No. It’s not too late.
The Welcome Salon for the Working Artist Academy begins on
Thursday, January 22nd at 5pm UTC / 9am Pacific, and it will be recorded.
If you can’t attend live, you’ll have access once you join the Academy.
What is true is that we are at the threshold.
The Academy isn’t an open-ended course you drift into someday. It’s a working container — twelve weeks of guided focus, live teaching, coaching, conversation, and practical decision-making with artists who are ready to stop circling and start building something actually moves them forward.
We begin together this week.
And a few days later, the doors close.
Not to create pressure.
But to protect the integrity of the work and the people inside it.
It’s not too late. You didn’t miss it.
But it is beginning.
