Courageous Art: How Artists Move Culture in Hard Times

Art isn’t just decoration. It’s a language we use for grief, courage, and
    belonging.

In every era of turmoil, artists have shown people a way through—sometimes
with humor, sometimes with beauty, always with honesty.

You might not know this about me, but I spent much of my early career
representing political artists. My files from those years have been collected by
the Archives of American Art at the Smithsonian Institution.

Last year, I shared a private workshop about how art can respond to difficult
times. I’ve re-edited that talk and I’m releasing it publicly now, free for anyone
    to watch.

This isn’t about telling you what to believe.

It’s about remembering that art has power—power to document, to connect, to
inspire hope, and sometimes, to change the conversation.

    With courage,

    Crista

“Thanks for the fascinating talk. I LOVED it and felt so inspired.”
