I was born and raised in a Motion Picture, T.V. business family in the golden era . My Mother was a Screenwriter and my Father was an Actor. It was a larger than life, magic time and place to grow up in. Story telling and theatricality filled our household. Stars and starlets were regular visitors bring a larger that life feeling to our house. In High School i discovered my natural talent as a painter. I Went on to the University of Ca. Irvine where I got my Bachelors degree in Art History and Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting. I studied Art History With Barbara Rose, internationally know Author and Critic, and Phillip Lieder The former editor of Artforum in New York City. In the Masters program I worked with some of the most esteemed painters from the New York and Los Angeles Art scene. Wonderful adventures filled my life after University, in which I lived and worked in Paris and Milan, where i got to absorb the influence of these very old cultures and see first hand the works of the classical and modern masters of painting. These influences have stayed with me over the years. Around 2004 my work took a huge and unexpected turn. I found myself creating Paintings of people, places and things which while being very solid also embody movements in space and time between Remote Antiquity, the Classical Past and the Future Present. The Paintings themselves have opened a world of infinite possibilities for me.
